Mono-Material Coffee Bags

Löfbergs is now packing all its whole coffee beans in mono-material packaging, made from a single type of plastic that is fully recyclable. This shift simplifies recycling compared to traditional multi-layer packaging, which can be difficult to process due to mixed materials.

The move is part of Löfbergs’ broader sustainability strategy, aiming to expand mono-material packaging across all product formats. With this switch, the company enhances its environmental credentials while strengthening its position in an increasingly sustainability-focused market.

“By using mono-material, we make it easier to recycle our packaging, and we have managed to develop a solution that preserves the quality of the coffee. This is an important part of our work to create a more sustainable supply chain,” says Madelene Breiling, head of development & compliance at Löfbergs.
