The Nature Intelligence Competition Fuels Conscious Business

A nature intelligence competition has been launched by the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), Conservation X Labs (CXL), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) better understand and manage their relationship with nature. The global challenge offers $100,000 in funding and other support for tools that provide clear, actionable 'nature intelligence' based on "TNFD’s LEAP (Locate, Evaluate, Assess, and Prepare) framework."

Winning teams will work with TNFD, CXL, UNDP, and partners to expand their solutions worldwide. These tools will help businesses track how they depend on and impact nature — including resources like water, soil, and pollination; and find ways to reduce their environmental footprint.

By improving nature awareness, companies can protect ecosystems, reduce risks, build resilient supply chains, and support biodiversity conservation while ensuring long-term business stability.
