LEOTEK Aims for a Net-Zero Transition at the UN Conference
Debra John — November 14, 2025A net-zero transition was at the center of LEOTEK’s participation in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), where the company presented its sustainable lighting innovations in the Digital Innovation Pavilion organized by the Taiwan Climate Partnership.
Ewing Liu, Chief of Staff and Vice President of Sales at LEOTEK’s U.S. headquarters, delivered a keynote titled 'Lighting the Net-Zero Path: Global Practices in Intelligent Sustainable Infrastructure.' His remarks highlighted how energy-efficient lighting and smart infrastructure systems can help cities lower electricity use, reduce carbon emissions, and support long-term environmental goals.
The forum, moderated by Luis Neves, CEO of the Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (GeSI), emphasized the role of digital innovation in promoting collaboration and strengthening environmental stewardship. Held in Belém, Brazil, COP30 advanced an 'Action Agenda' focused on practical measures to build resilient cities, expand clean energy and transportation, protect biodiversity, and support a more sustainable global future.
