NoPalm Ingredients x Nizo have partnered to establish the first demonstration factory for sustainable yeast oil production at the Food Innovation Campus in Ede, the Netherlands. This milestone marks a transition from pilot-scale projects to commercial manufacturing, providing food producers with scalable, eco-friendly alternatives to palm oil.

The facility integrates multiple production stages to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver several hundred tons of yeast oil annually, with plans to scale beyond 1,200 tons. By leveraging Nizo’s established infrastructure, NoPalm Ingredients anticipates that the first industrial-scale production will commence in late 2026.

The NoPalm Ingredients x Nizo initiative demonstrates the commercial viability of yeast oil, offering food manufacturers reliable, palm-free ingredients. This positions both companies as leaders in the growing sustainable fats market, fostering regional innovation and advancing global food transition efforts.
