Bio-Based Paper-Based Pouching Materials

SmartSolve has introduced PureNil™ 0 — a plastic-free, 100% bio-based, printable, and flushable paper-based pouching material designed for flexible packaging. The innovation is designed to disperse upon contact with water, which, in turn, eliminates the need for scooping, measuring, or disposing of empty containers. PureNil™ 0 has found recent commercial traction in the agricultural sector following its availability since January 2026.

SmartSolve's paper-based pouching material is intended to address the growing demand for sustainable, zero-waste unit-dosing packaging across a wide range of agricultural applications. Its range of applications includes crop protection products such as herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides; fertilizers and nutrients for fertigation and drip systems; biological inputs like microbial inoculants and beneficial fungi; soil amendments including pH adjusters and wetting agents; seed and planting products; and consumer lawn and garden items.
