Customized Biomaterial Sheets

Primex Plastics Corp has introduced Prime Sulapac custom thermoforming sheets made from Sulapac’s bio based biomaterial, offering an alternative to conventional plastics for rigid packaging and thermoformed applications. The sheets combine wood derived fillers with biodegradable biopolymers to deliver a material that aims to match thermoforming processability and aesthetic qualities of traditional sheet materials while improving end of life options. Primex positions the product for packaging inserts, trays, blister packs, point of sale displays, and single use food packaging where conversion compatibility and visual finish are important.

Commercial communications and industry coverage note that Prime Sulapac targets manufacturers seeking to reduce fossil feedstock content and to offer premium, sustainable packaging to brand customers. The material is described as developed by Sulapac Ltd and selected for its combination of renewable content, biodegradability under appropriate conditions, and suitability for existing thermoforming equipment, subject to standard qualification and food contact testing where required.
