Recirculating Shower Systems
Kohler Aims to Reduce Water Usage with Anthem EvoCycle Smart Shower
Kalin Ned — February 12, 2026Kohler has introduced the Anthem EvoCycle Smart Shower, a recirculating shower system designed to reduce water consumption by up to eighty percent while maintaining the sensory experience of a full-flow shower.
Kohler's Anthem EvoCycle Smart Shower innovation operates through a dual-mode mechanism that begins with fresh water and transitions into a closed-loop system, wherein used water is captured in a reservoir integrated into the shower base, filtered, treated with ozone cleaning technology, and blended with a small volume of fresh water before being recirculated through the overhead spray fixture. The entire process is managed through a digital interface mounted within the shower enclosure or remotely via the Kohler Konnect application, which also provides users with real-time data on their water usage and the ability to set personalized conservation targets. Maintenance of the recirculating shower system is addressed through automated ozone cycles that activate after each use and a dishwasher-safe filter component.
