Fiber-to-Retail Traceability Pilots

Recover and TextileGenesis Launch a Traceable Textile Pilot

Recover™ and TextileGenesis™ are set to pilot a new digital traceability program. Using Fibercoin™ technology, the initiative will track Recover’s recycled cotton and polycotton from fiber production through to finished garments. The program tests two garment styles across varied supply chain models, assigning digital tokens to each kilo of fiber to ensure a transparent chain of custody. Following the pilot, both companies aim to roll out end-to-end traceability for Recover fibers, allowing consumers to track the product from origin to retail.

“Traceability plays a foundational role in validating circularity claims and preparing for regulations like the EU Digital Product Passport,” says Orsolya Janossy, senior sustainability manager at Recover. “This pilot will enable us to test the TextileGenesis system in real-world conditions. It will provide our brand partners with verified data to support responsible sourcing, product-level disclosures, and credible circularity claims.”
