High-Density Insert Boards

Riversedge Composites Crafts a High-Density Board for Various Markets

Riversedge Composites, based in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, has developed high-density recycled boards designed for marine transoms and high-density insert applications. The products, distributed through FirstKem in Greer, South Carolina, are made from over 90% recycled foam and fiberglass, reducing landfill waste while delivering excellent structural performance.

These boards offer high compression strength, shear resistance, and screw retention, making them suitable for demanding marine and industrial environments. They are compatible with polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy resins, providing flexibility across multiple industries and applications.

Riversedge Composites manufactures boards ranging in thickness from ½" to 2". While standard boards come without fiberglass skins, the company can add skins on request. The boards can also be perforated or grooved using REC’s three-axis routers, allowing customization for resin infusion or other production needs.
