Recycled Glass Fibers

'DURAFIDE® PPS' is at the center of Polyplastics’ latest effort to reduce the environmental impact of high-performance plastics through the introduction of recycled glass fiber–reinforced materials. The new PPS grades incorporate mechanically recycled glass fiber, supporting more resource-efficient manufacturing while maintaining the durability and reliability required for engineering applications.

These materials are part of Polyplastics’ DURACIRCLE® initiative, which focuses on advancing circular production systems. Manufacturing scrap collected from customers is carefully inspected, sorted, and reprocessed before being reformulated into new PPS compounds. This approach helps reduce waste, lower reliance on virgin raw materials, and extend the usable life of existing resources.

Polyplastics applies the same quality standards to recycled DURAFIDE® PPS as it does to virgin materials, ensuring consistent performance. The company also plans to expand its recycled materials portfolio and develop localized recycling systems worldwide.
