Richard Haining Designs the Sustainable Stacked Chandelier
Amy Duong — March 22, 2025References: richardhaining.squarespace
Designer Richard Haining has created the STACKED Chandelier, which is made using decommissioned water towers in NYC. It. transforms the salvaged Californian Redwood material into the light, boasting an organic shape. The light fixture embodies a warm sense of character, similar to an exotic tree. Haining has the creative ability to repurpose the materials in an artful craftsmanship.
The chandelier measures 36 inches in diameter and is decorated with ten LED bulbs -- each one can be dimmed to create an enhanced and warm glow. The design also brings attention to his intricate detail as the natural grain and texture of the redwood. It also has a rich and warm tone of natural wood, pairing perfectly with the soft illumination.
