Low-Carbon Surfactant Products

Syensqo has launched Rhodasurf® B7 UP, a bio-based, lower-carbon surfactant designed for liquid laundry products. It delivers strong cleaning and wetting performance while reducing environmental impact, achieving over a 90% reduction in CO₂ footprint compared with conventional surfactants.

Rhodasurf® B7 UP can be used as a direct replacement in existing formulations, allowing laundry brands to adopt more sustainable products without reformulation or changes to the supply chain. Third-party verification ensures traceability of bio-circular feedstocks, supporting manufacturers in scaling eco-friendly solutions while maintaining high-performance standards.

In terms of certifications, Rhodasurf® B7 UP complies with Ecocert and Ecolabel standards while retaining the same benefits as traditional laureth-7 surfactants. The new product joins Syensqo's UP Circular Solutions portfolio, which emphasizes the integration of bio-circular feedstocks into formulations.
