Terra Energy Launched Its Solar and Battery Subscription for Houston Homeowners

Terra Energy launched TerraOne, a residential solar subscription that bundles rooftop solar, a 40-kWh whole-home battery and electricity service into a single monthly bill. Available in Houston, the plan requires no upfront fees, loans or liens, and offers qualifying customers rates as low as 6¢/kWh on a three-year commitment, compared to industry-standard contracts that often extend beyond 20 years.
The system can offset up to 100% of a home's annual electricity use, with enough battery capacity to back up most homes, including air conditioning. Terra handles installation, maintenance, repairs and insurance. As enrollment grows, the company plans to aggregate connected assets into virtual power plants, adding flexible distributed capacity to the Texas grid.
