The Spare Food Co. Was Awarded a National Contract with Premier

Premier, one of the United States' largest healthcare group purchasing organisations, awarded a national contract to The Spare Food Co., which will make the company's Spare Ground and the Spare Burger available to Premier’s member network of healthcare accounts and non-healthcare foodservice operations, including colleges and universities, K-12 schools, senior living communities, corporate kitchens, regional dining groups, and more. "[This contract] proves you can deliver a familiar, better-tasting product made with only beef and vegetables, that operators trust and diners genuinely enjoy and help meet the demand for healthier, more plant-forward meals without asking diners to make dramatic shifts in how they eat," said Spare’s chief culinary officer, Adam Kaye.

The Spare Burger fights food waste with an 80/20 blend of grass-fed beef and surplus vegetables.
