Prometheus Fuels has proudly noted that it can now provide affordable e-fuels to clients. The company stated it has significantly reduced the expense associated with extracting carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere, achieving a cost below fifty dollars per ton. This is presented as a substantial decrease compared to current industry figures.
Prometheus Fuels' process is integrated with an electrochemical system that immediately converts the captured gas into synthetic hydrocarbon fuels. The company emphasizes that its method eliminates several energy-intensive steps found in conventional approaches and allows for modular, off-grid operation.
The integrated affordable e-fuels system is presented as a means to produce carbon-neutral liquid fuels that can compete with conventional fossil fuels on price.
