Bakcou Debuted the 2026 Puma X22 SD as its First E-Moto
Colin Smith — March 26, 2026The 2026 Puma X22 SD is Bakcou’s latest Super Duty electric dirt bike, designed for off road use with a focus on power delivery, durability and extended range. The model retains the forged alloy frame structure of its predecessor while introducing several rider driven updates, including three selectable ride modes, an improved battery wake up system and a redesigned LCD display. It is equipped with a 72 volt 73 amp hour lithium ion battery, a motor rated at 6 kW with a peak output of 22 kW and a peak wheel torque of 850 Nm. Additional specifications include a 57.4 inch wheelbase, 13 inch ground clearance, automatic CVT with reverse gear and a total weight of 255 pounds.
The bike incorporates features intended to support backcountry and utility focused riding, such as an adjustable rear suspension, integrated lighting with high and low beam settings, hydraulic disc brakes and wide knobby tires. A modular rear rack system is included to accommodate packs and equipment, with compatibility for future accessories. Safety elements include integrated blinkers, mirrors, hazard lights and breakaway brake levers. The model is supplied with a Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin for registration where permitted, and Bakcou notes that buyers are responsible for meeting local regulatory requirements.
