Aegir Insights launched the Aegir Insights AI Decision Layer, connecting renewable energy project and market intelligence to a deterministic investment model available through its platform and clients' own AI systems via MCP. The release includes Ask Aegir, an embedded AI agent, alongside an MCP connector that lets client AI systems access the same data and modeling engine directly.

The platform combines project and market intelligence across onshore wind, offshore wind, solar, energy storage and data centers with Aegir Quant, a modeling technology that calculates breakeven prices, LCoE, IRR and NPV with sensitivities. Aegir separates interpretation from calculation, letting AI agents orchestrate analysis while its deterministic engine handles the underlying financial modeling.

Aegir's approach shows how the sector is pairing language-model flexibility with verifiable, reproducible calculations that developers and investors can use.
