Flexible Data Center Software

Emerald AI Has Raised $150 Million at a $1.05B Valuation

Emerald AI raised $150 million in an oversubscribed Series A at a $1.05 billion valuation, co-led by Energize Capital and DCVC, to scale its grid flexibility technology, which dynamically adjusts data center power consumption during periods of grid stress. The company's Emerald Conductor software orchestrates AI computational workloads and on-site energy resources, protecting critical AI performance while easing strain on the electric grid.

With five successful commercial demonstrations completed across Arizona, Illinois, Virginia, Oregon and London alongside partners including NVIDIA, the company estimates its approach could unlock more than 100 GW of untapped U.S. grid capacity years before new infrastructure could otherwise be built.

Emerald AI's funding signals how software-driven flexibility could become essential to accelerating AI infrastructure scaling without compromising grid stability.
