Energy Vault Broke Ground on Its Snyder AI Campus for Crusoe
Adam Harrie — July 28, 2026Energy Vault broke ground on its Snyder AI campus in Texas, combining power infrastructure, electrical systems and battery energy storage to support Crusoe Cloud's AI computing capacity. Phase 1 targets 8 MW of powered shell capacity for commercial operation in Q1 2027, with expansion potential to 25 MW and long-term site capacity of up to 500 MW.
The project will deploy 10 Crusoe Spark modular data centers designed for installation and commissioning in weeks rather than the years often required for traditional data center buildouts. Energy Vault will own the infrastructure and lease it back to Crusoe, integrating N+1 redundancy and battery storage to enable reliable, rapid power delivery for AI training, fine-tuning and inference workloads.
