Gradiant Raised a $2 Billion Valuation to Scale Its AI Water Technology
Adam Harrie — May 21, 2026Gradiant closed a Series E round at a $2 billion valuation, led by Safar Partners and Hostplus Superannuation Fund, driven by record demand for its AI-driven data center water management and reuse technologies. The platform helps data centers, semiconductor fabs and industrial operators secure water supplies, maximize reuse, minimize wastewater discharge and reduce energy consumption, capabilities that have become increasingly critical as AI infrastructure scales.
Gradiant has its largest backlog in company history across data centers, semiconductor manufacturing, power and pharmaceuticals. Proceeds will fund strategic acquisitions, R&D expansion and IPO readiness.
Gradiant shows that building differentiated water technology for the world’s most intensive computing and manufacturing operations can position a company at the center of one of the AI era’s least visible yet most critical resource challenges.
