Expansive Wastewater Solutions
WaterEquity Invests in Organica Water for South and Southeast Asia
Debra John — January 14, 2026WaterEquity has announced a USD 5 million investment in Organica Water through its 'Water & Climate Resilience Fund,' supporting the expansion of advanced wastewater treatment solutions in South and Southeast Asia and other priority markets. The investment, part of WaterEquity’s private equity and infrastructure strategy, is focused on scaling solutions across the water value chain that deliver measurable environmental benefits.
Organica Water’s systems are designed to improve wastewater treatment efficiency, reduce pollutant discharge into rivers, lakes, and coastal ecosystems, and enable water reuse in regions experiencing increasing water stress. By addressing untreated wastewater and limited sanitation infrastructure, the expansion is expected to contribute to improved water quality, healthier aquatic ecosystems, and reduced pressure on freshwater resources.
These outcomes support broader climate resilience by protecting biodiversity, lowering environmental contamination, and strengthening local water systems.
