Verne Signed 15MW Agreement with NScale for AI Infrastructure

Verne and Nscale have signed a 15 megawatt agreement for AI infrastructure capacity at Verne’s Iceland campus, with Nscale planning to deploy approximately 4,600 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs across the site during 2026. The deployment is configured to be predominantly liquid cooled, with roughly 85 percent of the installation using liquid cooling and the remainder air cooled, a design choice the partners say is intended to optimise density and energy efficiency.

The agreement leverages Verne’s Icelandic location, which the companies highlight for its access to renewable power and natural free cooling, and is presented as a step to expand sustainable AI capacity in the Nordics and Europe. Verne and Nscale describe the project as part of a broader effort to deliver high density GPU capacity with reduced carbon intensity, and industry reporting notes the scale and liquid cooling share make it one of the region’s larger liquid cooled GPU installations.
