Hydrogen Production Projects

Nel ASA x GreenH are collaborating on two hydrogen production projects in Kristiansund and Slagentangen, Norway, advancing the nation’s renewable energy transition. GreenH develops, builds, owns, and operates hydrogen production facilities powered by renewable energy, with the goal of creating a distributed network that enables decarbonization across the maritime, transport, and industrial sectors. The partnership focuses on scalable, regional solutions that reduce logistics costs and emissions by locating production sites near end users.

The Kristiansund and Slagentangen facilities are designed to supply green hydrogen to industrial and maritime customers, reinforcing Norway’s position as a leader in clean energy innovation. By integrating local production with renewable power sources, Nel ASA x GreenH aim to establish efficient hydrogen value chains that strengthen regional sustainability and accelerate the transition toward a low-carbon, resilient energy future.
