Four European companies have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a large-scale 'hydrogen mobility corridor' spanning Eastern and Central Europe and Turkey. Announced at the Global Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam, the partnership includes clean hydrogen producer Verdagy, power generation tech firm Mainspring Energy, and other regional energy and transport stakeholders. The envisioned corridor will integrate hydrogen production hubs with refueling infrastructure along key transport routes, enabling heavy-duty trucks and other vehicles to travel long distances on hydrogen fuel.

Initial plans target connecting hydrogen refueling stations from Turkey through the Balkans into Central Europe, ensuring interoperability and consistent fuel standards. The project will also involve sharing technology and best practices to accelerate deployment. By combining each partner’s expertise -- Verdagy’s electrolysis innovations and Mainspring’s linear generator technology for on-site power -- this corridor aims to demonstrate viable end-to-end hydrogen supply for clean mobility at continental scale.
