Alcoa, Ball and Unilever Partner to Use Elysis Technology for Packaging
Kanesa D — November 11, 2025Alcoa, Ball, and Unilever are conducting a pilot for the new Elysis carbon-free smelting technology, which will primarily affect the development of personal and home care packaging. The technology, which will first be used in an aerosol can made with 50% Elysis primary aluminum and 50% post-consumer recycled content, is the first of its kind. This project aligns with global interest in decarbonization and consumer demand for sustainable solutions.
