Ball Corporation and Münsterland Debut Sustainable Spongebob Milk Cans

Ball Corporation and German dairy producer Münsterland J. Lülf are using pop culture to make sustainability more visible on store shelves with a limited-edition line of SpongeBob SquarePants-themed milk drinks packaged in aluminium cans.
The launch comes as packaging waste remains a growing concern, with hundreds of millions of tons of plastic packaging produced each year globally and only a small share successfully recycled. Through aluminum, the partners aim to show how smart packaging choices can reduce environmental impact while still driving consumer engagement.
Developed in collaboration with Paramount Pictures, the collection includes three 250 ml slim cans featuring SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, and Sandy Cheeks, and comes in banana, strawberry, and chocolate flavors. Beyond their playful designs, each can also serve as a promotional platform for the SpongeBob film Search for SquarePants, released in December 2025.
