Rainforest Resort Debuts

Banyan Group has expanded its global footprint with the opening of Mandai Rainforest Resort, its 100th property worldwide and first in Singapore. Owned by Mandai Wildlife Group and operated by Banyan Group, the resort is located within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve and reflects the company’s focus on environmentally responsible luxury hospitality. Spanning 4.6 hectares, the property is designed around biophilic principles, featuring elevated, treehouse-inspired structures that preserve the natural terrain, along with a five-storey accommodation building offering views of the surrounding rainforest and reservoir.

Sustainability is central to the resort’s operations, with natural ventilation, energy-monitoring systems, rainwater reuse, and other efficiency measures contributing to its distinction as Singapore’s first Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy-certified hotel. Guest offerings include the farm-to-table restaurant Forage, which highlights locally sourced ingredients and on-site gardens, as well as access to family attractions, nature experiences, and wellness treatments at the Banyan Tree Spa.
