Canovation and CANPACK are working together to advance CanReseal®, a resealable aluminum can-end system designed to combine consumer convenience with the recyclability of metal packaging. Unlike many resealable beverage containers that rely on plastic components, the system is designed to integrate with existing aluminum can manufacturing and filling infrastructure, allowing producers to adopt the format without major changes to current operations.
The technology aims to address a common limitation of traditional beverage cans by enabling consumers to reseal products for later use while maintaining the benefits of aluminum packaging. Because aluminum is widely recycled and retains material value throughout its lifecycle, the approach also supports broader circular economy goals.
