Kotányi launched a new spice range featuring Sonoco's innovative GreenCan packaging technology, marking a significant advancement in sustainable food packaging. The Austrian spice company introduced contemporary flavor blends including ‘Cool Chick,’ ‘Little Italy,’ ‘Potato Party,’ ‘Wonder Wok,’ ‘Curry Crush,’ and ‘Avocado Love,’ all housed in containers made from 94% paper content, including 69% recycled materials.

The GreenCan solution represents a breakthrough in packaging sustainability, offering the durability and barrier protection necessary for spice preservation while maintaining widespread recyclability through household paper recycling streams. This launch addresses the growing consumer demand for environmentally responsible packaging without compromising product quality or shelf appeal. The initiative aligns with the EU Green Deal's life-cycle approach to circularity, demonstrating how established food brands can successfully integrate sustainable packaging solutions.
