EV Fleet Charging Mergers
Voltera & Revel Merged to Scale Their EV Fleet-Charging Infrastructure
Adam Harrie — May 27, 2026Voltera and Revel announced a merger to create a combined urban EV fleet-charging infrastructure platform, with more than 1,000 charging stalls operating and under development across 11 U.S. metropolitan markets. The deal brings together Voltera’s development pipeline and customer relationships with Revel’s established urban charging footprint, forming a scaled network purpose-built for autonomous vehicles and electric fleet operators in dense urban areas.
EQT will serve as the majority owner, with Global Infrastructure Partners retaining a minority stake. Revel CEO Frank Reig will lead the combined company under the Voltera brand.
As autonomous and electric mobility scales in dense urban markets, Voltera and Revel show how combining complementary charging platforms can create the infrastructure density fleet operators need to deploy at scale in high-demand urban markets.
