EV Charging Infrastructure Expansions

IONNA, a collaborative electric vehicle charging enterprise established by a consortium of major automotive manufacturers, is progressing with a substantial EV charging infrastructure initiative focused on the state of California. The company has publicized its intention to allocate over a quarter of a billion dollars towards expanding its network within the state over a three-year period.

IONNA's venture into California includes the activation of new facilities, referred to as 'Rechargeries,' in several major urban centers. This fresh EV charging infrastructure will contribute to a national total of stations that now exceeds 1,100 charging bays that are either operational or currently being built. A notable technical feature of the network is its growing compatibility with a 'Plug & Charge' system. It aims to streamline the user process by allowing for automatic initiation and payment at the charging point.
