Harlem's Fashion Row Hosts Its Annual Sustainability Forum
Kalin Ned — April 22, 2026Harlem's Fashion Row, an organization dedicated to supporting designers of color, will host its fifth annual Sustainability Forum on April 22nd. Presented by H&M, this event will feature panel discussions on topics such as ethical material sourcing, circular fashion, artificial intelligence and three-dimensional design. The content will highlight sustainable career pathways, as well.
Harlem's Fashion Row's Sustainability Forum also includes a panel sponsored by Humane World for Animals titled 'What We Wear & What It Costs,' which will examine the animal welfare implications of fashion production, alongside sessions on archival dressing, the afterlife of clothing, and balancing creativity with purpose.
By bringing together thought leaders such as designer Tracy Reese and representatives from the Fashion Institute of Technology, the forum translates complex topics like circularity and supply chain transparency into actionable insights that can influence purchasing decisions.
