Spain’s Iberia Airlines and leading hotel groups have joined forces under the nation’s Sustainable Tourism Strategy 2030, advancing a unified commitment to reduce environmental impact and promote eco-conscious travel. This collaboration supports Spain’s broader goal of becoming a global leader in sustainable tourism, ensuring that growth in the sector aligns with climate responsibility and environmental preservation.

Iberia Airlines is spearheading the aviation industry’s green transition through the adoption of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), improved fleet efficiency, and ongoing carbon-reduction initiatives. These actions are designed to significantly lower emissions and encourage a shift toward cleaner air travel.

In parallel, Spanish hotel groups such as Meliá Hotels International and NH Hotel Group are prioritizing energy-efficient operations, green construction, waste minimization, and locally sourced materials.
