European Sleeper, the night train operator known for its Brussels–Amsterdam–Berlin–Prague route, has acquired GreenCityTrip, a sustainable travel company launched by Flywise Travel. The partnership strengthens Europe’s transition toward low-carbon and accessible rail tourism by combining European Sleeper’s growing network with GreenCityTrip’s eco-conscious holiday packages.

European Sleeper, which has "carried over 200,000 passengers and operated more than 650 trains, plans to expand to Barcelona and Milan, promoting rail as a cleaner alternative to short-haul flights." GreenCityTrip’s successful collaborations with Albert Heijn, HEMA, and Kruidvat have already encouraged travelers to embrace environmentally responsible city breaks.

Under the leadership of Pascal van de Sande, GreenCityTrip’s new Managing Director, the companies aim to make sustainable rail travel more attractive and accessible—supporting Europe’s broader climate goals through reduced emissions and eco-conscious mobility.
