Sustainable Travel Events

Virtuoso brought together its highest-performing travel advisors and preferred partners for the 2025 'Under One Sky' luncheon, setting a benchmark for how the travel industry can unite around a shared vision of sustainability. More than a celebration, the gathering served as a platform for demonstrating how conscious travel can be embedded at every level of the tourism value chain.

Building on over 15 years of leadership in responsible tourism, Virtuoso Chairman and CEO Matthew D. Upchurch and Vice Chair & Sustainability Strategist Jessica Hall Upchurch presented the Sustainable Leadership Awards, recognising one agency and one advisor whose business models place sustainability at their core.

Attendees also "voted live on three partner awards tied to Virtuoso’s sustainability pillars: Protecting the Planet, Celebrating & Honoring Cultures, and Supporting Local Economies." Additionally, a newly launched 'Sustainable Destination Award' honored a tourism board pioneering exemplary sustainability practices—raising the bar for destinations worldwide.
