Sustainable Packaging Expansions
Intec Bioplastics Introduced a Regulatory Contribution
Debra John — March 18, 2026Intec Bioplastics has introduced a $75 million Regulation A+ (Tier II) offering to support the expansion of sustainable packaging solutions across the United States. The initiative focuses on increasing the production of plant-based materials through new manufacturing and distribution centers over the next four years. These efforts aim to reduce dependence on conventional plastics and lower the environmental impact of packaging systems.
A key product, 'Hercules BioFlex™ Stretch Wrap Film,' is designed as a plant-based alternative to traditional plastic wrap. It performs similarly while supporting improved recovery and waste reduction outcomes. By offering sustainable materials that fit existing use cases, the company encourages broader adoption of environmentally responsible packaging practices.
Intec has also launched a BuyBack program that allows customers to return used stretch wrap and cardboard cores for reuse. This approach helps reduce landfill waste and supports a more circular system, addressing low recycling rates and high disposal volumes in the packaging industry.
