Bio Plastic Brand Acquisitions

One World Products has completed the acquisition of Eco Bioplastics, integrating Eco Bioplastics’ biopolymer production capabilities into One World’s manufacturing portfolio. The transaction brings additional extrusion and compounding capacity for biodegradable and compostable resins, and is presented as a step to expand domestic supply of bio based polymers for packaging and single use applications. Company statements indicate the acquisition will enable closer coordination between material development and thermoforming and sheet production, with the aim of shortening supply chains and improving lead times for North American customers.

Post acquisition activities are reported to focus on scaling production, qualifying materials for food contact and industrial applications, and supporting customer conversions from conventional plastics to certified compostable alternatives. The combined organisation intends to leverage existing sales channels and technical support to accelerate market adoption, while emphasising manufacturing continuity and regulatory compliance during integration.
