Teknor Apex completed the acquisition of Danimer Scientific’s assets following a court approved sale in a Chapter 11 process, with the transaction announced in June 2025. Danimer had filed for bankruptcy protection in March 2025, and the acquired portfolio includes laboratory, manufacturing, and testing facilities located in Bainbridge, Georgia and Winchester, Kentucky, representing more than 200,000 square feet of biopolymer capacity.

The acquisition is presented by Teknor Apex as a strategic move to diversify and strengthen its sustainable materials offerings by integrating Danimer’s expertise in biodegradable polyhydroxyalkanoates and related biopolymer technologies, thus improving the brand's overall portfolio of sustainable materials. Public reporting notes that the deal was completed through a bankruptcy auction process and that specific financial terms were not disclosed.
