Advanced Recycling Partnerships

Greenback Recycling Technologies and Amcor have announced a partnership that will see the brands collaborating to support advanced recycling in the UK. The partnership will see modular recycling units position into the existing industrial infrastructure to help advance the shift towards a circular economy. The modules would process post-consumer flexible packaging including multilaminate materials, which would see them converted into pyrolytic oil that's suited for food-grade plastics.

Vice president, Amcor Flexibles Europe, Middle East and Africa Andrew Green spoke on the Greenback Recycling Technologies and Amcor partnership saying, "We are excited to host this pioneering technology at our Heanor site. Combining Greenback’s innovation with Amcor’s operational experience enables us to improve circularity for soft plastics and help our customers make progress in achieving their own sustainability targets.”
