Integrated Home Energy Systems
Integrated home energy systems are connecting household technologies through Midea’s MHELIOS platform, showcased at IFA 2026. Designed for residential energy management, MHELIOS integrates solar systems, battery storage, EV chargers, and heat pumps within a single platform. The system responds to dynamic electricity pricing to optimize when households store and consume energy, helping reduce electricity costs while supporting grid stability. It is also compliant with Germany’s EnWG Section 14a requirements.
Bringing multiple household energy assets into one management system could simplify how homeowners coordinate electricity generation, storage, heating, and vehicle charging. Price-responsive controls can also help households shift consumption toward more economical periods without manually managing individual devices. For Midea, MHELIOS expands its role beyond individual HVAC products into broader residential energy management, creating opportunities to connect more of its equipment within one ecosystem as European homes adopt distributed energy technologies.
