Wooden-Framed Light Pieces
KÖNIGSWINTER by Daniel Heilig Uses Reclaimed Fiberglass Panels
Kanesa D — April 2, 2026KÖNIGSWINTER by Daniel Heilig for Heilig Objects is a limited-edition light sculpture crafted from reclaimed corrugated fiberglass panels sourced from an abandoned hillside hut near Königswinter, adjacent to the Siebengebirge. Exposed to decades of weather, the panels display unique amber tones, fiber patterns, and textural variations that form the core aesthetic of the work.
Heilig spent five years sourcing and selecting panels for their structural integrity, translucency, and depth. Mounted in custom wooden frames, the panels are stabilized without altering their natural character. LED lighting behind each panel, combined with diffusing layers, highlights the material’s texture and tonal range.
KÖNIGSWINTER is offered in two configurations: MONO, with a single dimmable light, and DUO, with independently adjustable upper and lower sources, both available as wall-mounted or suspended installations. Each piece is numbered within the limited series.
