The Levi’s Wear Longer Project Teaches Clothing Care Skills to Gen Z

The Levi’s Wear Longer Project is a community engagement initiative developed in partnership with Discovery Education, and it empowers Gen Z with a digital curriculum, in-classroom lessons and community workshops centered around basic clothing repair.

While a new generation of fashion lovers is passionate about shopping vintage and secondhand, Levi's research suggests that: "35% of Gen Z say they would keep their clothing longer if they knew how to fix or personalize them, 41% report having no repair or customization skills, from hemming a pair of pants to patching a hole."

With this new program, Gen Z can take a stance against fast fashion by learning how to sew buttons, patch small holes, fix tears, or hem items for a fresh look or better fit.
