Ecologically Conscious Master-Planned Developments

The design studio Plontur Group has received international recognition for its master-planned development — Luana Farms. Because of the functional and aesthetic sensibilities of this project, the firm has been selected as the winner in the Leisure-Led Development category at the World Architecture Festival 2025.

Located in Calaca, Batangas, the Luana Farms project is distinguished by a foundational methodology that prioritizes existing ecological conditions — such as topography, native vegetation, and water systems — as the primary drivers for architectural and landscape decisions. This has resulted in a layout where over seventy percent of the land remains undeveloped.

Plontur Group organizes the Luana Farms development into distinct zones for gathering, reflection, agricultural connection, and cultivation. Each area responds to specific terrain characteristics and incorporates strategies for rainwater harvesting, passive cooling, and local material sourcing.
