The materials science firm Intrinsic Advanced Materials will present a new "responsible-performance luxury home textile" at the upcoming Heimtextil 2026 in Frankfurt. The central innovation features a fabric blend that incorporates "TENCEL™ fibers derived from certified or controlled-wood sources [and Intrinsic Advanced Materials'] CiCLO®'s biodegradable polyester innovation."
The resulting hybrid material is designed to retain the durable and performance-oriented qualities typical of conventional polyester while introducing an accelerated decomposition mechanism for the post-use stage. The luxury home textile maintains the inherent softness and moisture-wicking attributes of the botanical fibers, of course.
