Chemically Recycled Waste Fibers
Liva Reviva™ M Fiber Uses Recycled Post-Consumer Textile Waste
Kanesa D — November 21, 2025Birla Cellulose has launched Liva Reviva™ M, a new fiber that blends Birla Excel lyocell with mechanically recycled post-consumer textiles, transforming discarded garments into high-quality raw material. Unlike previous Liva Reviva™ fibers, this early-stage blend ensures consistent performance and smooth processing.
One variant contains 30% recycled denim for premium jeans, while Liva Reviva™ M White is suited for home textiles like towels and bedding. Additional versions feature pre-dyed Spunshades viscose fibers with Colour-Lock™ technology. Fully traceable via GreenTrack™, the fibers are GRS-certified, sourced from verified, chemical-free textiles and FSC-certified wood pulp, offering a sustainable, versatile solution for fashion and home textiles alike.
“The circular economy ecosystem can only work effectively when the [entire] workstream results in the reduction of textile waste,” said Manmohan Singh, chief marketing officer at Birla Cellulose. “Mechanically recycled fiber is one such key initiative in textile-to-textile recycling.”
