SENSIL by NILIT and ROICA by Asahi Kasei collaborated to introduce a new high-performance stretch fabric concept, combining SENSIL ByNature, a NILIT Biomass Balanced Nylon 6.6 yarn, and Biomass Balanced ROICA premium stretch fiber.

SENSIL ByNature is the first textile Nylon 6.6 yarn for apparel made using a Biomass Balanced renewable feedstock sourced from biogenic waste, and it's said to "[lower] greenhouse gas emissions by about 1.8 kg CO₂ eq per ton of yarn versus traditional nylon." Biomass Balanced ROICA premium stretch fiber incorporates renewable raw materials in place of fossil hydrocarbons.

This concept is set to be unveiled at ISPO Munich, and it's designed for performance apparel, helping to reduce a garment’s environmental footprint, as well as reliance on fossil resources, and promote circularity initiatives.
