Plant-Based Nylon Yarns

Taekwang Industry Launches 'ACECOOL-BIO' Yarn

Taekwang Industry, a major textile company under the Taekwang Group, has launched 'ACECOOL-BIO,' South Korea’s first plant-based nylon yarn made domestically. This new yarn is made from renewable plant materials and offers better performance than traditional nylon, with benefits like improved moisture absorption, breathability, and vivid color dyeing.

ACECOOL-BIO is designed for use in sportswear, innerwear, and summer workwear, where cool-touch and comfort are important. In addition to performance, it also delivers strong environmental benefits—producing over 50% less carbon emissions than conventional cool-touch nylon during manufacturing.

With rising demand for sustainable and high-function materials, ACECOOL-BIO supports the global shift toward lower-impact textile production. Taekwang Industry also plans to introduce more eco-friendly yarns later in 2025, as part of its broader goal to lead the market in sustainable, high-performance textile solutions that reduce environmental harm.
