Mazda unveiled the CX-6e battery electric crossover at the Brussels Motor Show on 9 January 2026 and plans a European launch in summer 2026 with subsequent introduction in Australia later in the year; the model is part of Mazda’s collaborative BEV lineup developed with Chongqing Changan Automobile and aims to combine Mazda design and driving dynamics with partner electrification technologies.

The CX-6e is presented as a crossover SUV that applies Mazda’s “FUTURE + SOUL x MODERN” design language and seeks to preserve the brand’s Jinba-ittai driving feel through handling and ride comfort tuned for European preferences. The specification highlights a suite of intelligent technologies including voice and gesture recognition, advanced driver assistance systems, and optional digital side mirrors, and the model follows the MAZDA 6e as the second collaborative BEV introduced globally. Mazda positions the CX-6e to expand its battery EV lineup and address regional market needs while maintaining the company’s stated focus on driving engagement and daily usability.
