Grape Waste Cosmetic Jars

As part of a public-funded project called Memora, Lumson, the Italian leader in cosmetic packaging, debuted a concept for a refillable jar made of recycled glass and 100% biodegradable bioplastic.

Deluxe is the 50 ml refill jar at the heart of the circular design concept, and it's comprised of PCR (post-consumer recycled) glass and 100% biodegradable bioplastic that gives new life to grape residues. This jar is equipped with an integrated NFC chip that provides quick access to technical, authentication, anti-theft and traceability data, as well as content to support reuse and recycling, and brand storytelling.

The Memora pilot project was inspired by reclaiming what would otherwise be cast aside, and its name comes from the Latin ‘memor,’ to remember or to be mindful.
