Sustainability-Focused Micromobility Concepts
The BMW Group is Partnering with the LUYUAN Group
Kalin Ned — November 26, 2025The BMW Group has entered into a licensing arrangement with the LUYUAN Group, a Chinese manufacturer of electric two-wheeled vehicles, granting the latter the rights to produce two distinct micromobility concepts for the urban environment.
The first micromobility concept is named 'Dynamic Cargo.' It is an electrically assisted tricycle designed with a cargo-carrying area, resembling a small pickup truck. The design also includes the possibility of an attached canopy for weather protection. The second concept is dubbed 'Clever Commute.' It is a foldable electric scooter intended for short-distance travel and easy storage on public transit or within a personal vehicle.
The agreement with BMW Group permits LUYUAN to utilize these designs to create and market its own line of light electric vehicles for international sale, with development support being provided by German engineering firms affiliated with BMW's network.
